Corrupt people can twist words to mean anything. Honest people will not.
By still the words count, because most people do, I think, try to be honest.
The proper response is: “don’t kill yourself in the house, you’ll mess up the carpet”.
Allowing abortion when the mother threatens suicide is, in practice, the legalization of abortion from conception to birth for any reason the mother has.
