Well I have lived in the south for 6+ decades and somehow survived it without black tinted windows.

My truck came with tinted windows from the factory. I bought it new.

I live in south Florida and can tell you we put our lunch in the front window at 9 am, and by lunchtime, its so hot you can’t pick it up without gloves on.
Dark tinted windows are a must down here.
