I can’t think of a job where the employee is allowed to get into a customer’s face over politics or anything else on company time. If you have to sign a contract for the job, it is usually spelled out as grounds for dismissal.

I am not a Dallas Cowboys fan and I don’t particularly care for Jerry Jones, their owner. That being said, I like what he did last season. When the NFL had the rash of players not standing for the National Anthem, he did the following. He called a meeting with the entire Cowboys organization and told them that he understood that it was their Constitutional right to not stand for the playing of the National Anthem. He also told them that if they chose to do so, they would be unemployed the following day.
