If Arpaio is pardoned, it will be an admission of guilt. The conviction won’t be reversed. He’ll still be a convicted criminal.

Only as a matter of history, not of law.

A pardon doesn't just spring him from the can. It removes all legal consequences of this conviction. E.g., if his conviction made him unable to vote or ineligible to hold certain government jobs, a pardon would remove such disability.

But the internet will still know he was convicted of some joke and then pardoned.

Try to remember that Arpaio is an old man.

With a pardon he will not have to spend the rest of his life in court defending himself from a bunch of Liberal idiots out to punish him for defending Americans from the invading hordes.

He also will not die broke and in debt to lawyers.

A pardon will allow him to enjoy the rest of his life in peace or pursuing more productive goals.
