Wyoming Judge Appeals To Nation’s Highest Court After Losing Job For Being A Christian
The Federalist ^ | August 15, 2017 | Jonathan Lange

“Does a state violate the First Amendment’s Free Exercise Clause or Free Speech Clause when it punishes a judge who has discretionary authority to solemnize marriages because she states that her religious beliefs preclude her from performing a same-sex wedding?” That’s the question Judge Ruth Neely from Pinedale, Wyoming, wants the Supreme Court to answer.

On August 4, she filed a petition with the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS), asking them to review a March 7, 2017 ruling from the Wyoming Supreme Court. That ruling handed down a public censure and effectively removed her from a circuit court magistracy for answering a reporter’s question.

Not only should there be no homosexual “marriage”, homosexual acts should still be unlawful. These perverts running amuck in our society prove the idea of victimless crimes was always a lie from the pit of hell.

The spirit of antichrist ran rampant through a particular 8 years. One particular false prophet pushed its lies, daily.

Which acts should be outlawed, what should the penalties be and do you really want the government putting cameras in YOUR bedroom?

Unless Kennedy retires there is little hope for her. Kennedy was looking like a sure thing but has moved to the maybe not column. I wonder who got to him?

We are. I just had a horrible Facebook brush up with my high school friends. They think Trump is a Nazi and should be taken. TAKEN out of office. Their hatred is so deep they would give up the Constitution to get rid of him. It’s so sad. These are not stupid people. These are educated, upper middle class people who just hate Donald Trump with a passion I don’t think I have ever seen in politics. When I tell them this is why we will soon have a civil war they call me an asshole. It’s like trump hatred gives them permission to stop being a civilized person. All manners and social norms have gone out the window. Personally? I really don’t care and that’s what makes it worse. Because people don’t care. Civil War time.

Exactly the reason I avoid social media at all costs and only use Facebook as a secondary email account.

All homosexual acts should be unlawful.

Homosexuality is inherently disordered.

As for the punishments, they don’t have to be much. Just preventing it being considered tolerated after any fashion so that it is pushed aside as it ought to be is enough.

As for the rest, one of the privileges and immunities associated with marriage between a man and a woman, keeping in mind that common law marriage with no need for the consent of the State should probably be preferred, is the rights associated with said marriage bed ... these were unwise to liberate from that context too.

Legislating against wickedness was always the sweet spot of where laws should be.

The “progressives” and libertines who pressed for the current state of affairs were fools.

#8: "This kind of krap is going on in....Wyoming?"

Surprisingly, Wyoming is pretty much unchurched. Many many "nothings". Politically conservative but certainly not a "bible belt" type state. A lot of antipathy toward Mormons, which probably soured people on anything to do with Christianity. Being very sparsely populated may play a role.

I am surprised.
We were looking to move to Wyoming, partly because it has a reputation (?) for being....well, what? More moral at least than this! Perhaps we were mistaken? Its so hard to really find out just by visiting a short while.....does anyone have any ideas about Wyoming (Sheridan, Laramie, Cheyenne, or?) as for a possible relocation? Basically, what types of towns, people there? Thanks

“do you really want the government putting cameras in YOUR bedroom?”

I want homosexuals to stop bringing their bedroom into the public and telling me I must accept it..

The people are pretty nice but somewhat taciturn.

Cheyenne is a railroad hub with a lot of drifters and n'er do wells. Still it is an OK city, but I myself wouldn't want to live there.

Laramie is a college town. A lot of libs, but still the people are nice enough.

Casper has a lot of roughnecks and drugs and a higher crime rate.

Jackson Hole is for wealthy liberals from around the world. Few natives live there.

Other towns are a mixture of cowboys and roughnecks and coal miners. Most of seriously violent crime in Wyoming is confined to the Wind River Indian Reservation in central Wyoming.

Myself, I am from the Bible Belt and I never felt at home in Wyoming. Can't put my finger on it, but the people don't seem as warm as they are in the South. It's a cultural difference. Wyoming people would probably say the same about the South, LOL.

Most Wyoming folks are good people and very good freedom loving Americans. Open and concealed carry are legal without a permit. Very unintrusive state government. No state income tax, though they do have a sales tax.

Facebook is contributing to the destruction of our society and is a terrible waste of the time we have allotted to us.
