IMHO, Anyone with half a Brain can figure this one out. These two people quit allegedly because of POTUS’s comment on the recent tragedy. They BOTH gave the same Reason! That in itself sounds suspect. What does POTUS’ comment have to do with Business! They were TOLD, i.e. FORCED to do this. Either by being PAID OFF, or by threat of VIOLENCE to Them or Theirs. So what does POTUS Do? He shuts the Job Councils DOWN! HAHAHAHA. Ultimately the ones who lose out are the PEOPLE. This was POTUS’ efforts to improve Business and create Jobs.

Yes. Every leftist anywhere, at any level, at any job, is determined to undermine the election and destroy our country. ALL of them. Trump cannot trust ANY of them to act like responsible adults and should weed them out of EVERY position of authority.

And he should do it yesterday.

Great idea.

Very few people running large businesses are the people who started them. Most get taken over by MBAs and others who are NOT experts in the domain of the business but are experts at ingratiating themselves and manipulating people, perception, laws, and money. Not who I want running major portions of my country.

These CEO’s work at the pleasure of the Board Members. They have to keep them happy if they want to continue to get a paycheck. Hopefully the corporate whores that resigned, will get their comeuppance one of these days. Every dog has it’s days.

if it is supposed to be a ‘government OF the people, By the people, and for the people”
then it is absolutely imperative to stop letting it be staffed and ordered around by the “ruling elite”
(yes, including corporate CEO’s...that’s just pure fascism anyway...not an American form of governance by any means)

let’s let some qualified, regular American citizens try to help out for a change!

Exactly! If he needs people on committees, he needs to come directly to us. We’d love to help!

Lots of us are retired Military and current or retired Business Managers. It’s not hard for us to have five balls in the air at once!

Trust me; we get chit DONE! :)

Interesting. I’ve been to three Trump rallies since last September, and I didn’t see any of these CEOs at any of them.
Been to a few here in FL. Nothing but regular folks like us, quite a few of all different colors at that. And this is a main reason why the libs are so pissed at Trump. He's upsetting the apple cart by making small yet significant inroads with traditional Dem voting blocs, Blacks, Latinos, Jews, etc. Pres Trump has boldly gone where no Republican has gone before. No matter how Trump addressed the incident at Charlottesville they still would've tripled down on the Trump is a racist narrative.

I’m sure he’d have a line around the WH if he asked for small businesses that wanted to be part of a council and the MAGA movement. Small business is actually “where it’s at” with the jobs market. These large company CEOs are primarily political animals, not the backbone of America sort of folks.

...they very much prefer a fascist style (they wouldn’t call it that) command economy with a few politically-connected large companies that they can deal with and regulate easily....

You left out: "And get cushy no-show jobs in when they finish their 20 years 'service' in Fedzilla."

It's called "regulatory capture", and you gotta be a big player to participate. Small mom-and-pop startups can't get onto the field in that game.

Good! I suggested this here on FR.

If he wants such councils, they should be made up of people who employ fewer than 500 people (and thus know very well what it’s like to meet a payroll, and are privately held (thus removing the incentive to grandstand for shareholders and analysts). I could have predicted what happened, public company CEOs knew about “not letting a crisis go to waste” long before Rahm-bo said it.

Those CEOs that use their exit to trash the president, to diss the US, such as United Technologies, should be concerned that their contract proposals will be scrutinized, maybe passed over in favor of other companies that want to work with the government.
