What exactly has Bishop Dukes done to lessen the death toll in the inner city of Chicago? It seems like...if he had any real relationship to the people of his city....the killing would rate as problem number one....not the statues.

I’m here and I see this every day. Sometimes the victims are not even identified in the media. All you will read is “a man was found shot to death in a West Englewood alley.” A sixteen-year-old, who was identified, was shot yesterday while playing basketball. A good kid, by all accounts. The Bishop, though, was too busy with his crusade to weigh in on that one. Or the more general problem that something like 90% of all homicide victims are black; in about 80% of the cases there are no arrests or even suspects; when there are suspects or arrests, over 80% of the perpetrators are black.
