In order for the Communists to take over the US they have to destroy the cohesiveness of the South. Southerners are unique and share a common bond that makes us difficult to lord over and breaking that bond will make it easier for them to liberalize the South as they have other sections of the country. Destroying the heritage of Southerners stands in the way of their ultimate goal.
Never heard it put so well. Also the South is a more Godly region. There is no room in Communism for any god other than the State. Here’s to hoping Civil War 2.0 turns out differently.

They want to break it all down. The family unit, Christian morals, freedom, faith, all of it. It’s only then do they figure they’ll be able to take over fully.
