CNN posted a map on August 17 showing the location of approximately 1,500 Confederate monuments and/or official symbols in the U.S.
The map will, no-doubt, serve as a hit-list for the frenzied Workers World Party members and others seeking the removal and destruction of Confederate statues in city after city across America.
CNN reports, “Roughly 1,500 Confederate symbols still exist on public land more than 150 years after the conclusion of the Civil War.” It explains that 718 of the Confederate symbols are “monuments and statutes.”

Let’s change the names of Washington DC, Washington state, and every Washington city, road, and building in the country. The same for Jefferson. The same for Georgia, Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, the Carolinas, and every other entity named for someone who supported or permitted slavery, including anyone who supported the Constitution with its 3/5 compromise. Remove all monuments, statues, busts, paintings, and other artifacts honoring anyone who failed to throughout their lives support every Ctrl-Left caused that is in style. Think how roomy our parks and museums will be without those distractions!
Let’s erase all history prior to 2017. That includes erasing Barack the Usurper from history, since he didn’t always support gay “marriage”. We should have a tabula rasa, a blank slate, with nothing remembered from our past. It was imperfect and must be deleted - wiped clean. Where’s Hillary, when we need BleachBit?
A Christian would look at this and say that almost every great leader in the Bible was not only imperfect but had serious flaws that were preserved in detail in the Bible. A Christian would see that as a model for good coming from the imperfect, a lesson that we do not have to be flawless to do God’s work, to be worthy, and to make the world a better place. The Ctrl-Left has rejected Jesus because they hate that model. They much prefer Islam, with its example of “the perfect man”.

Agree. Plus a lot of the statues are cheezy and were mass-produced specifically for Daughters of the Confederacy or other groups that were promoting the remembrance of soldiers. We can definitely do better than those.

For every Confederate monument that gets taken down, two more need to go up. I’m dead serious. Then maybe these idiots will give it a rest. Doubly serious if they start taking down monuments to Washington and Jefferson. I’d gladly donate to any organization that would fund such monuments.
