Trump's attacks could leave him friendless if impeachment comes

President Donald Trump has stepped up his attacks on Republican senators, an approach he may regret if he is someday impeached and the Senate has to weigh charges against him stemming from an investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 U.S. election.

More than half of the 11 Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee, which would be central to any proceeding to remove Trump from office, have tangled with the Republican president, including on Thursday when he fired off early-morning tweets.

I guess I'm down today, but I fear that kicking their butts from here to next Tuesday will be playing into their hand, a continuation of the Charlottesville mess they will blame on Trump.

Anything bad is Trump's fault. If he was not President, they wouldn't have to go to such extremes, don'tcha know?

With the collapse of their Russian erection, the left is struggling for something to hang their hat on to get rid of Trump in any way they can.

I don't see that a escalation of violence gets them any closer to that goal, but I'm not sure they care, as long as it is bad for the country they figure they can use any crisis to their good.
