Trump's attacks could leave him friendless if impeachment comes
Reuters ^ | August 17, 2017 | Richard Cowan

President Donald Trump has stepped up his attacks on Republican senators, an approach he may regret if he is someday impeached and the Senate has to weigh charges against him stemming from an investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 U.S. election.

More than half of the 11 Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee, which would be central to any proceeding to remove Trump from office, have tangled with the Republican president, including on Thursday when he fired off early-morning tweets.

Democrats are sitting back watching Republicans condemn Republicans. Establishment Republicans need to get out of their comfort zones ( The Swamp) to hear what real Conservative Republicans think.

That’s right. Let’s not forget that Bill Clinton WAS impeached ! But, he was not convicted of the impeachment, so by law all memory of the episode is erased from the public consciousness.

More fake news from Al Reuters?
Any GOP senator that votes to impeach Trump is dead politically. The GOP controlled Senate has approval rating of 10%. They are not in school position to start a fight with Trump.

If Trump were imppeached and the republicans didn’t oppose it I think they would lose half or 2/3 of their seats in the next election.

the huge dilemma we have is even though repubs are behaving like total cowards (as usual) we need to keep them in the majority or it risks the dems impeaching trump. But they have acted so stupidly in opposing trump and blowing healtyh care I am afraid they may lose the house and senate because they have screwed over the base so bad.

Any foolishness by the house or senate should make them VERY AFRAID. We have POTUS’ back. The need not to forget that.

.

McCain, Lindsey Lowdown, Rubio, Susie Collins, Paul Ryan - they would all take out Trump in a millisecond.

They want to fluff their Fortunes and keep the Gravy Train rolling.

Maybe they could explain their strange loyalty to Barack Obama.

Why is he hosting al-Reuters articles now? especially those that contradict themselves in the eighth paragraph?

Yes, why? Been all sort of this kind of stuff for months now. First one I noticed was “Pence all set to replace Trump”. That one made me tilt my head. I expect that on CNN....

It’s right under the Drudge Report banner at this very moment (for others to check)

I guess I hadn’t noticed until somebody said something a few days ago on FR.

And when I clicked over, there it was.

Actually, he might not be so friendless. There are 50 million friends. Go ahead senators, impeach him.

Then look out your office window the next morning.

Meanwhile, the eighth paragraph still reads thus:
There is little serious talk being heard in Congress about removing Trump from office. …
And that automatically cancels out the empty fakenews insinuations that precede and follow. One grain of truth makes a field of lies wither.

And with that, notice that Drudge has storm clouds over the Dome.

I’m surprised he didn’t use a WH pic.
