This is an INCREDIBLY stupid move by Trump. The one thing Trump cannot afford to do is alienate his base. And I can’t think of anything more surely guaranteed to alienate his base than dumping Bannon.

But but but everyone says Trump is playing 27 level chess...

Hell, I’m still waiting for something REAL... not silly twitter rants...

there sure seems to be a LOT of turnover at the WH... more than I can ever remember...

Do you all think Ivanka and Jared had a major role in this?

Only possible upside is Bannon can now do more damage to the Left from the outside.

Destruction of Trump’s base is all but impossible. His base will find a way to rationalize this and anything he does.

LOL. Bannon isn’t the one taking nukes on daily basis. He sure didn’t make Trump. And his leaving won’t break Trump either.

I didn’t vote for Bannnon.

The name Bannon doesn’t actually have any meaning to me at all, outside of what the media told me the name means, and I know that was a lie, because it came from the media.

“This is an INCREDIBLY stupid move by Trump.”

Naw, not really. Bannon was not elected to be president, President Trump was. As many have stated already, President Trump has a history of moving people around. Folks need to remember that Bannon was an advisor, not a cabinet member or elected official.

Besides, do we know yet if Bannon was fired, forced to resign or just quit in his own?

I’ve been with Trump since day one. Actually before that, when he was on Michael Savage in 2012 and hinted that he might run and I was hoping he would..

I never thought about Bannon one way or the other. Didn’t vote for him. Don’t care about him.

Trump will lose me if tax cuts don’t happen or he appoints a squish to the Supreme Court.

Trump’s base is NOT going to leave him so long as rabid, rock-throwing Communists are out there revising history in the streets. It’s all about timing.

May have been Bannon clashing with the former Marine General. THAT I understand.

Yep.

And Chess is a game of deception.

Every move Trump makes is one the progressive swamp spiders will try to twist into... CRISIS!

Normalization Phase in 3...2...

It doesn't alienate me, but then I voted for Trump and not for Banon.

I am considered his base and if someone isn’t getting the job done then he should be fired. Bannon isn’t getting the job done. NEXT!

Yep. The left is rejoicing over this. Trump went up 4 points in the Gallup poll AFTER Charlotte. The liberals will take this as a scalp, still call him a racist (Pelosi just did), and turn their eyes on others like Gorka and Miller. They are jubilant on Twitter. The base felt like Bannon was a voice in a White House with factions and globalists. If the base sees it as him caving, he will lose support from them - liberals who wanted Bannon fired would never support him anyway.

Agreed. Trump's base is all he has left. The media, academia, the Democrats, the Republicans, the legal system, the FBI, the Deep State, the bankers, the Globalists, and the Marxists/Satanists/Fascists/Leftists all want to destroy him.

So naturally, Trump jettison's the man who speaks for his base.

Incredible.

The base isn’t his issue right now. Survival is.

Trump is getting a very hard education on how to play ball in DC.

I do not believe there are many republicans (small r) left in the Administration. Looks like a bunch of Democrats to me. Where am I wrong?

I would vote for him again today. Still don’t regret it at all. Banon is in a position to do more publishing articles at Breitbart than he was in the White House. He has more reach.
