Bannon Plots Fox Competitor, Global Expansion
Axios ^ | August 19, 2017

Posted on 08/19/2017 6:44:47 AM PDT by Helicondelta

Axios' Jonathan Swan hears Bannon has told friends he sees a massive opening to the right of Fox News, raising the possibility that he's going to start a network.

- Bannon's friends are speculating about whether it will be a standalone TV network, or online streaming only.

- Before his death in May, Roger Ailes had sent word to Bannon that he wanted to start a channel together. Bannon loved the idea: He believes Fox is heading in a squishy, globalist direction as the Murdoch sons assume more power.

- Now he has the means, motive and opportunity: His chief financial backer, Long Island hedge fund billionaire Bob Mercer, is ready to invest big in what's coming next, including a huge overseas expansion of Breitbart News.

On Day 1, Breitbart declared he's taking his West Wing infighting to the outside, telling Bloomberg Businessweek's Josh Green that he's "going to war for Trump against his opponents — on Capitol Hill, in the media, and in corporate America."

The reality is that Bannon will go nuclear on former colleagues he calls "West Wing Democrats": economic adviser Gary Cohn, Jared and Ivanka ("Javanka," as he calls them) and Deputy National Security Adviser Dina Powell.

The revved-up Breitbart operation is also likely to target Speaker Ryan, as it did before Trump.

“Bet this was the plan all along between Trump and Bannon.”

I like the way you think.

It wouldn’t surprise me a bit to find out later that this was the case.

In any case, contrary to the cows that some conservatives were having yesterday over his resignation, I think it has become abundantly clear that Bannon is going to be much more effective in destroying the left’s Fake News media and the reelection of do-nothing RINOS in Congress from outside the
White House than he ever could have done from within it.

I’m coming to that same conclusion myself. Trump is a strategic thinker.

“It was ridiculous to think the Bannon was just going to fade away.

He’ll become an even more effective player now that he’s out of the WH.”

Perhaps that was the plan. Trump can’t do much in Congress now, and needs to break the logjam. This can’t be done without breaking the RINOs, which can’t be done without a real conservative network. Hence, unchain Bannon and let him do his job somewhere that no one can stop him.

If I were Bannon, I would hire a taste-tester. He is going to tick off more than a few people.

..
It is my theory Bannon and Breitbart will tag team with Trump on Twitter...Bannon let’s say posts a expose on 1924 DNC Klan photo...then Trump tweets it...get the idea?

Let’s say they do this with Ryan, McConnell, dig up some nasty stuff...perhaps then stuff gets done...Bannon may need some of Trump’s elite security services to protect from Arkanicide.

“*With exception of the 4 hours of programming, they may as well have been CNN:

Hannity
Carlson
Watters
Pirro”

Just imagine if Bannon is able to take the four of them onto his new network. Fox would be effectively dead. Plus, the ratings that they would get would pretty much force cable companies to give them a spot. Just imagine Breitbart TV replacing Fox.

“Hire Megyn Kelly as receptionist.”

Why would you do that when you can hire skanks who have no issues (and probably for less money, too)?

I pity Bannon’s enemies list, look forward to his new network, and will read Breitbart more often.

If they can figure out a way to jam it through on cable, they’ll have captured lightning in a bottle. Though others disagree, I think we’re still on the cusp of non-cable video streaming becoming a dominant force, but we’re not there yet. If anyone can figure out a way to do this, it might be Bannon and Mercer. Prayers up, and I’ll be watching Bannon developments as closely as possible. Thanks for the ping!

There is the possibility that the timing of Brannon’s move was driven by the readiness of a new venture to ramp up. Serious discussions about a Fox alternative had to be happening at least since Roger Ailes got dumped.

Alternatively, he might be going to Breitbart to drive a particular battle, like the budget, investigations, or the primaries and next election.

Varney has started to go weak in the knees.
You can see an attitude change.
That quote was a slap at Trump’s “vaunted negotiating skills”, and a cheap shot by Stu.
Time to straighten up and fly right.

CNN has been to the right of Faux Snooze! Alright, an overstatement! But, nonetheless, Faux Snooze, via the Murdoch boys, has made a decidedly leftward lurch!

Bannon might merge Brietbart and CNN...Have ATT negotiate buyouts for all of the biggest CNN on air liars with no opportunity to consider the new concept (tell Jim Acosta and Brian Stelter...GET OUT).

Excellent - definitely need something because they are putting liberals on Fox.

I still support Hannity and Lou Dobbs especially. Lou is super-awesome.
