It appears the time has to come to completely eliminate ALL Taxpayer funding of any kind to education.
The commonwealth of Virginia has been reducing its funding of UVA for decades. It currently funds 5.8% of the university’s budget. It could easily be privatized. Cost cutting, tuition increases, and additional funding from the school’s substantial endowment could easily make up the shortfall if state funding ended.
