She suffered a single gunshot wound to the upper back and was pronounced deceased on scene.She was shot in the back? Was she turned away, talking to the passenger? If so, timely distraction. I'd rule out her passenger having anything to do with this.

She was shot in the back? Was she turned away, talking to the passenger? She could have seen the perp/gun and was turning away from it. Or the perp could have fired down and into the car, if she was short enough, the round would have entered her upper back.

According to the second link I posted in Post #18, a witness posted they drove past the crime scene and saw police talking to the passenger, described as "she was also young, cute, and dressed to go out."
