President Trump just saved the taxpayers from giving ridiculous local pay raises amounting to $26 billion to federal employees.

Lessay you said to Thomas Jefferson:

“In over 200 years from now, the richest four zip-codes in the country will all surround Washington D.C.”

What type of face would he have made..?

I’m going to use my “BOOM” allotment for August. I was planning on rolling it over to September, but this is as good a time as any to play that card.

If you think the flood in Texas is something, just wait for the flood of tears coming from those poor underpaid Federal Employees and their Union Bosses currently serving in the U.S. Congress.

Hubby: “Sorry dear, but without my raise, we’ll only be able to spend two weeks at Puerto Vallarta instead of three”.

Wifey: “That Trump is such a racist!”.

“Locality pay” should be phased out. It just results in federal employees in “blue” areas & states getting higher pay than those in the rest of the country. And don’t feed me the “cost of living is higher” rationale; I’m not buying.

Under current law, in addition to a 1.9 percent across-the-board increase for the base General Schedule, locality pay increases averaging 26.16 percent and costing $26 billion would go into effect in January 2018.

Not any more! 26 percent average locality pay increase, means some were going to get a lot more; not any more thanks to President Trump doing his job of fiscal responsibility. The nation's credit card is overused and abused, and President Trump is trying to rein in costs (unlike Congress).

Beautiful!

The Democrats will be on the media saying the government needs to spend more money because we have “serious economic conditions affecting the general welfare,”... and in the courts saying he can’t do this because we don’t have “serious economic conditions affecting the general welfare,”

Which Democrat lies will the media cover?

This increase can be offset with the reduction of pay with every federally elected official and their staffs.

Good. Will earn him the wrath of federal workers and worker unions—need to end government employee worker unions. Needs to keep shrinking government—both dollars and number. Is hiring freeze still in place? Haven’t seen much on this. He did do that didn’t he, or was that talk?

That $26 billion would fund the Wall. The Wall, in conjunction with immigration law enforcement, deportation of illegals, will save the country hundreds of billions annually.

This is possibly a very shrewd move to drain the swamp of DC. If you start limiting pay increases in the DC area, younger workers will get frustrated and move on. So will mid career workers, though in lesser number

Were he really shrewd, Trump would figure out a way to cap the resale value of any property inside DC. But that is kid of a pipe dream.

To give an idea of just how much money locality pay can be, the locality pay for federal employees in Denver is 24.65%.

That means federal employees get 24.65% more than their base wage. If an employee makes $100,000 base wage, they get $24,650 more for a total of $124,650.

I’m assuming that the cut impacts senators and congressmen as well since they piggy-back on federal worker raises. So it’s a two fer.
