I just read an interesting account of his death and the mysterious circumstances surrounding it. Written by someone who knew him.

Why is it silly to mention Colby’s name? They were both probably bumped off.
Colby allegedly was in his canoe, after dark, without his life jacket which he always wore. His dinner was half-eaten on the table along with an unfinished glass of wine. In the middle of dinner he allegedly got the idea to go out canoeing in the dark. Sure.
I remember when his death was first reported that I thought it was a hit made to look like an accident.

It was the way you went about it. It was as if you think all or most of the stories about the Clintons were crazy conspiracy theories. That is how their dopey supporters typically react to the 'allegations' regarding them, even though most of the 'allegations' were proven true.

The article doesn’t say who he did not work for. Nor does it say who all he worked for. It just says he was on Condoleeza’s security detail. That does not cover the entirety of his abbreviated career. Clearly he had to work for someone after Rice.
So far the only mention of him on non-conspiracy site is that whatever happened to him a distant relative expressing condolences called it a “tragic accident.” No mention of what happened.
His last known clothing while alive was khaki pants and a blue oxford shirt.. no description of footwear … he was sighted at 10 pm or so, he had been driving a gray SUV. It doesn’t sound like he was going boating.... but if that was when he died then poor lighting may have contributed to whatever happened.
There are all kinds of conspiracy sites posting theories but all seem to be doing it with no more information than is on this thread.
He had just been assigned a new position in August.
