What I’m left thinking of after reading this is - President Trump had a much more lavish lifestyle than this - AND HE GAVE IT UP to serve our nation. When he is no longer president he will not need a fat pension and I bet will reject it like his salary now.

Good points....
Obama came from the streets of Chicago——a male escort at 10 bucks a lick?——and got into office not particularly interested in or groomed for governance.
Getting ahold of our tax dollars appears to be his sole preoccupation as president.

What a crock. I've been to Morocco, and it is one of the most pro-western, tolerant (I hate to use that word, but it fits here) muslim countries there is. Their constitution mandates tolerance for all mono-theistic religions, and in Tangier, where we were, there are mosques across the street from synagogues, down the block from Catholic churches.
As far as I am aware, there are no significant barriers to women attending any level of school. We also were told that all students are required to learn at least one other language, and most choose English as it is "the language of business."
Sounds like a scam to claim they are helping teach women, only to then say, "Oh, you don't need that money....well I'll keep it safe for you right over here." Kind of like when Cartman took the food right off Starvin' Marvin's plate, except that in that case Marvin really did need it.

This started because Herbert Hoover (vilified by Democrats) had a big heart and headed up relief efforts to feed starving children in two world wars (they never give him credit for that).
Hoover was a self-made man who thought it was scandalous that Harry Truman served for just 3 months shy of eight years, didn't use the office to enrich himself, and left office nearly broke. He carried his own suitcases to Union Station to catch the train back to Missouri.
