The important thing is that they bury themselves in student loan debt to fund the affirmative action “perfessers” of imaginary subjects.

The “College for Everyone” crowd is pulling a huge scam. They realize that college isn’t for everyone and that many of these kids would be better off in entry level jobs or trade school Those unqualified students who get pushed into it will walk away with NO degree and (maybe) lots of debt. As a bonus, they will also be indoctrinated and bitter — ripe for recruitment by groups like Antifa & OWS. Which is maybe the real goal. That and keeping the cartel of indoctrinators (e.g., leftist professors) funded & employed.

More than 75% of high school counselors say they have the knowledge to help students complete college and financial aid applications, but only 42% said they have enough time to provide students with the needed assistance

If the counselors worked more than 1000 hours a year they would have plenty of time for their students.

To be honest, if a kid can't complete a college application, he has no right going to college.

well... the obvious solution is for colleges to lower their standards and just give these students a diploma like their high schools did!

A Mind is a terrible thing to waste on a Leftist Californian Student. Can't use them in the Army either. ANTIFA can use them in the coming revolution. Don't expect them to be smart, just mean and deprived because they are useless

“A companion study suggests one reason that high school graduates are not ready to stick it out in college: They can’t get the expert advice and support they need.”

Who needs expert advice to go to college?

If they are not smart enough to figure it out themselves, with some parental help, they don’t belong in college.

There are always several students in the back of my college chemistry classes busy texting and talking during my lecture. I tell them if you’re not interested in being here, LEAVE. Then usually do leave....after the first exam.

Counselors with liberal arts degrees will be advising students to study liberal arts.

Students with exposure to the trades know the earnings potential and excellent skilled trades job market, and are much more apt to seek college courses in technical fields.

Construction Management majors, for example, have a nearly 100% job placement rate in Northern California and are well paid.

I would imagine most are just there to collect federal/state subsidies. They drop out when the subsidies become depleted.

I went back to school as a Veteran and old enough to be most students father. Most of these “kids” within my classes and degree program washed out. Those who excelled were older students with families,Veterans and those who were working to get through school. It was pathetic to see the failures were subsidized by Government.

The average IQ is 100. The average IQ of a college grad is 115. Intellectually, some can’;t hack it. Everyone shouldn’t go to college...for a variety of reasons.

Imagine seeing the aftermath of a debt default from inside of this country without the media propaganda filtering events (as seen through the media filters from Argentina, Greece, Venezuela, etc., all with enormously increasing socialism long before their changes in government) And oh, yes, I’m talking about the education regime among other rackets.

Imagine the likes of Antifa many times larger and in the streets.

Socialism, folks? You’ve already been seeing it for decades. Look at what happened to most of our private production that once happened on our own U.S. soil. Notice where unions are permitted and supported, even by government-connected business, while they wield most of the influence over politics.

A women’s studies instructor once stated to university students, “We’ll didn’t get them in the boardrooms. We didn’t get them in politics. We got ‘em in education, though, didn’t we, girls! Next, we’ll take the good ‘ol boys down!

Well, stock up on popcorn in advance, and watch for reckoning time to come. It will be a great show, but it will be over for good and all in a flash.
