Also Obama has spent 8 years degrading the U.S. military and nuclear readiness. Yeah Trump is building it back up but it's only been 7 or so months.

LOL. It’s funny how everyone thinks that one of these is some doomsday weapon. Plus or minus 5 miles is a solid miss for the fireball of an H-bomb. Now, targeting a large population center like LA and not caring which people you kill makes error less meaningful. But if you want to nuke the WH or Pearl Harbor or Wall Street or downtown San Francisco and you only have one shot, then accuracy matters.
Unfortunately, the old deterrence doctrine of MAD (Mutually Assured Destruction) that worked during the Cold War with the Soviets won't work with nations run by madmen.

If China wants to start a nuclear war, they don’t need NK. All the nations involved in such a war that destroys civilization really won’t be worrying about public opinion.
Communists do not believe in God, so life on earth is all there is. This is why a deliverable Muslim bomb is dangerous since they believe that destruction of all things is good. A deliverable NK bomb is dangerous because they have nothing to lose. China, Russia, and the US have everything to lose in a nuclear war and nothing to gain since the balance of the surviving population will be in the southern hemisphere—not the kind of people who build civilizations and economies.

The bad news: today’s test puts North Korea much closer to having a viable EMP weapon.
You are right... bad day for me... should have stayed off of FR I suppose. Still, without China NK would be Zimbabwe.
The fortunate thing is that Kim has become belligerent enough that he is quickly becoming a liability to his allies in China and Russia. This problem belongs mostly to South Korea, Russia and China. Those three countries most likely have good intelligence on Kim’s location much of the time. At this point it would seem that the solution with the most hope for success would be for China and/or Russia to collude with South Korea to take out Kim, his entire upper echelon and as much of their communications infrastructure as soon as they poke their heads out of their little mole holes.
Best case scenario for us would be a reunification but China and Russia would probably not be happy with that, so it seems more likely that a more easily controlled commie puppet will be installed.
The good news is this zit is about to pop. Hopefully the puss and goo won’t end up killing too many innocent people. But this thing has been allowed to fester for far too long, if somehow things go well for our side it might send a message to other rogue nations around the world.
No. If the US attacked NK China would probably invade NK to get the minerals. China is trying to be an economic power.
