Should a pre-emptive strike and the potential commitment of 10s of thousands of US troops be something debated by the people’s representatives in Congress as opposed to the decision of a single person?

Send a cruise missile over the Capital with leaflets “we will feed you like an American” over throw the oppressors of the people! That would be a wake up call little Kim can understand.

Congress long ago ceded debate on matters of war to the executive.

And wrongly so.

POTUS can do whatever he pleases for 60 days according to the War Powers Resolution. All he has to do is inform the top 8 members and cite imminent threat.

Making the case for “Imminent threat” is easy in this case.

In strategic war, 60 days is beyond forever.
