What does the La Raza crowd know about the First Amendment’s Freedom of Speech guarantee? This is the way the thug government of Mexico does things.
No Go Zone?
Segregated park?
Secessionist park?
Mexican-American war deniers?
Spanish language signs and Mexican flags again? Bad move on their part.
And, once again, no consequences for the violent leftists. There must be forceful push back and serious police action leading to arrests and imprisonment for attacks or the Left will incrementally win the battlefield.
I would bet that any attempt to repeat Tea Party events eight years after they originally occurred would be met with violence by the left and willful non-enforcement of the peace by the police. The American left knows they lost the argument with words so now they are bumping it up to fists, clubs and tear gas. If that doesn’t do it expect bombs, poisonings and shootings to convince the citizens to shut up and comply.
The Second Amendment supports our First Amendment right to peaceably assemble. If terrorists wish to disrupt a peaceful gathering, they should deal with the natural consequences of their violence.
The way I heard “Chicano” described (by Cheech Marin in a serious talk) was that Mexicans didn’t consider US born and raised hispanics to be “full Mexican”. They were like “chicklets (gum)”, little Chi-(mexi)canos.
It was a pejorative term that they (who claim the identity) sought to band under and ‘reclaim’ as they felt rejection from those in Mexico as well as the US.
The term Chicano had negative connotations before the Chicano Movement, and still is viewed negatively by more conservative members of this community, but it over time gained more acceptance as an identity of pride within the Mexican-American community in the United States.
The pro-indigenous/Mestizo nature of Chicano nationalism is cemented in the nature of Mexican national identity...
...At certain points in the 1970s, Chicano was the preferred term for reference to Mexican Americans, particularly in the scholarly literature.[citation needed] However, even though the term is politicized, its use fell out of favor as a means of referring to the entire population due to ignorance and due to the majority’s attempt to impose Latino and Hispanic as misnomers. Because of this, Chicano has tended to refer to participants in Mexican-American activism...
So it’s a nationalist identity based on genetics. How queer it all is
“Chicano Park”?
LOL
Isn’t that racist?
Or is it chicanos/latinos/hispanics/whatever claiming their space?
We have a public space around here, but nobody pays for it. The city invited people to paint public murals as a way of not having to pay to keep removing the tagging. Mostly it’s flowers, trees, and stuff, lots of kid art. I doubt that would work there though since they are looking at this as a one time deal and serious art worthy of preservation, not as an evolving public canvas.
Hundreds of Hispanics against a half dozen gringos. That’s the way those cowards always fight, starting as kids.
BTW that’s not artwork that is high end graffitti.
Paul Ryan (hypothetical) response:
“Had the patriots not gathered in the park for a picnic, then there would have been no violence (or near-violence, as in this case).” Continuing, he noted that “...violence only occurs when Conservatives stupidly assert their so-called ‘right’, as if they have one, to gather in public”.
Might be good for you to post the pics you have of Chicano Park.
How come the violent mob always wins in these situations?
Mark
America is under mob rule.....
The leftist agitators started it, as they always do.
What is a ‘”symbolic’ public place’?
I would like to see a myriad of people post fake patriot events. this would require protestors to assemble, expend energy, and protest nothing. i haven’t figured out out to do it yet. Maybe create a fake facebook page to make the announcements.
