And on a positive note, we should proactively re-frame the debate. Consider that we are sending hundreds of thousands of American-educated youth home. They bring our education, our values, and uplifting so they can fix their home countries. That is invaluable aid to these countries and reverses the brain-drain that might have contributed to some of these countries ills.

And deport their parents and families! Send them all home. Let them fix their home countries. How about a repatriation act? Give these deportees, especially if voluntary, the seed money to go home and get a good start at home. And a nice card that says "Bye!"

Home to countries that they never lived in and whose language they may or not speak.

I’m not saying that they need to stay; I’m saying that the idea that this is some kind of reverse immigration that will fix the problems in Mexico or Central America is kind of ludicrous.

That's the rationale behind student visas. They'll love us, they'll go home and love us more. Like Pappa Obama, did his loving here, and at home.

Cynics like me think it's about tuition $.

Personally, educational institutions which receive taxpayer money, I'd prefer they admit citizens first.
