The Internet is crawling with loonie stories alleging that liberal funder George Soros is a frontman for the Rothschild banking family, in the service of a conspiracy for world government. In the 19th century, to be sure, the Rothschild bank exercised enormous power at the peak of British and French financial influence. Today the Rothschild bank in London is a boutique with annual profits of about $70 million, a rounding error in the accounts of a J.P. Morgan, Morgan Stanley or Goldman Sachs. Never you mind, respond the paranoids: the Rothschilds are a hidden octopus, and the fact that we don't see their money proves that it's all a conspiracy. You can't talk sense to tin hats.
There is one part of this story that I can clarify, however: I am the Jewish banker responsible for a large part of Soros' fortune. It wasn't intentional, and I'm sorry about it, but there was no conspiracy involved, let alone a Jewish one.

When he was very young, in his twenties, he met a woman and fell in love (as much as a sociopath can "fall in love"). The woman was not in love with him, however, but she ended up getting pregnant. The woman met another man, the man she would marry, and the two of them fell in love. The woman terminated her pregnancy, which infuriated the sociopath. He made it his life's work to torment the woman and her family.
The woman, her husband, children, even her grandchildren still to this day, suffer because of her association with Soros. Others have suffered as well, some related to the woman, some not.
I don't care if Soros is a front man for the Rothschilds. He is one devious, evil sh!tbag, one of the worst to ever walk this earth. When he dies he will burn in hell, and so will all of the people, directly or indirectly, who have helped him. I have a feeling that a good number of them will pay for their misdeeds well before they arrive in hell.
This is a particularly loathsome conspiracy theory. Even here, I’ve been castigated for daring to defend the Rothschilds - especially since I know one and that person is hardly some wizard of evil. She teaches English poetry in London.
I’ be got Rockefellers in my family tree due to the Aldrich connection (Nelson). Some of us are just poor relations and not in on the plots.

There was a story (supposedly "debunked" by Snopes) that the Rothschild fortune--if you count up all the companies they control--could be as high as US$4 TRILLION. And the Rothschilds wield huge influence over the Bilderberg Group, Club of Rome, Council on Foreign Relations, Trilateral Commission and World Economic Forum, the most powerful gatherings of the Globalists. As such, George Soros being the "front man" for the Rothchilds may not be such a far-fetched idea.
Tell the truth: it’s one Rothschild you don’t like, isn’t it? Lynn. Don’t conflate that into an entire family.

Hedge-fund managers of Soros’ type are gamblers, who are betting on politics, business and human nature - what people used to call “political economy.” They have the same kind of opinions and commentary as all of us here on FR do, only they bet real money and a lot of it.
Its interesting and profitable work - if you are good at it
