Mother-in-Law lives in Melbourne.
I lived in Ft. Lauderdale in the late 50’s during my elementary school years. There were 83,000 people at that time. I went back in 1974 to apply for a job, and was astounded at the massive growth, and decay in areas that had been prosperous in the 50’s.
Andy Town was gone, and Carol City was sitting in what had been everglades. Too, too big.
I decided that North Florida was a better place to settle down and raise a family.
