True, I’m a conservative and Trump is not so I did not support him in the primaries. But no matter, whether my vote was forced or voluntary I didn’t hate him enough NOT to vote for him.

As I’ve said many posts ago, I want him to succeed but I’m not willing to look at a debt ceiling deal cut with Schumer as his being some mastermind. It was a cave, pure and simple. No deal, no art, no sense.

So feel free to close your eyes and tell yourself he’s playing someone on this or re-read his book to make yourself feel better.

No one called you stupid. Blind..........yeah, ok.

That’s cool, man. I appreciate your candor, and in return I will give you the same.

I was originally a Cruz or lose person, and when Trump announced, I hated it, because I thought he was a threat to a Cruz nomination, which he indeed was.

However, when Kate Steinle was killed in San Fran, I had enough. That was all. Trump became my guy right then and there on the issue of illegal immigration, and secondarily it became clear to me that he had the potential to reach democrat voters that I do no think Cruz could have.

Then as things played out as they did, Trump’s candidacy began to expose the falseness of the GOP, and he exposed Cruz as well, though I forgive Cruz now, because I understand primaries are rough, and things get said. I appreciate the things he has said since Trump’s election.

I am not one who thinks Trump is playing 3D chess with everyone and winning, I actually think that, even though he is very intelligent, he didn’t expect to win at all, he was caught by surprise in that regard, he did not follow politics closely prior to that win, and he is not particularly ideological.

However, I do think that, in practice, he is far more conservative than the fraud GOP Party.

My assessment of Trump is that he is a patriotic American who loves his country very much, and I love him for that. I also believe he is conservative on some things and liberal on others, and he’s honest.

As far as him dealing with the Democrats in this instance, I don’t hold it against him, because I am sure that he, like me, is about as frustrated as he can be with the accursed GOP.
