Maybe not, but I still can’t find the power over alcohol give to the Feds in the Constitution.

Similar to healthcare.

Its all about taxation. Safety yes, but safety of the bureaucrat fat cat lifestyle.

They also don’t want people poisoning themselves. The first 10% or so of distillation is seriously not good for you.

Regulating & heavily taxing hard liquors was practically the first such laws in this country. Look up “Whiskey Rebellion”; we’ve been arguing over this for centuries.

I think it’s a holdover from Prohibition. Besides, the gumment has to get their cut on excise tax.
