I know several who do but the dogs are not pets, they are working livestock guardian dogs and would not be able to do their jobs if they were in the house.
On the other hand those dogs get the best of care, probably eat better then most people and get a going over daily to make sure they didn't get so much as a nick.
That is true.....When I was a little kid growing up in N. Michigan, my uncles had bear and coon hunting dogs that stayed outside in well maintained kennels..........
