The Supreme Court is allowing the Trump administration to maintain its restrictive policy on refugees.
The justices on Tuesday agreed to an administration request to block a lower court ruling that would have eased the refugee ban and allowed up to 24,000 refugees to enter the country before the end of October

They need to split that circuit and make the 9th very small.

You don't respond to a humanitarian crisis by bringing everyone from the region to the U.S., you do it by giving them shelter and aid in their native region. You can easily care for ten people there with what it takes to bring one here, but I guess bringing them here is a bigger virtue flag.

Of course...These Muslims likely treat this as a back door....sign up with one of the Christian agencies who make some big bucks off this (like Bannon said) and lie their little butts off.
I can imagine the harsh vetting. s/

The headline makes it sound like the Justices are going to let Trump slide on this one. NO, judicial branch you have no say over this matter and if we had a Congress that was worth a darn they would fix this corrupt and tyranical Judicial lower court system. Barry Insane has the courts stacked with 300+ of "his people".

Just a few years ago SCOTUS ruled that immigration was exclusively an Executive Branch function. This in response to an Obama suit filed against Jan Brewer who wanted immigration enforcement in Arizona that was MORE strict than the Feds.
They can’t very well come out and do a 180 now just because the POTUS is Trump and not Obama.

I think the decision was handed down without comment. That would mean that the justice(s) reviewing it decided that the 9th circus decision didn’t even warrant discussion at the whole court level.

The 9th battle has not been held yet. Arguments heard on the 10th of next month. This is just that thing where grandparents etc are under dispute.

They allowed Trump to exercise his congressional mandated authority. How cool is that?
