Even Dems who aren’t co-sponsoring Bernie’s Single-Payer plan want Single Payer

Fifteen senators, including 2020 hopefuls like Elizabeth Warren and Kamala Harris, are co-sponsoring Bernie Sanders’ single-payer health care bill. But even some of those not signing on have plans to eventually convert the country to single payer.

On today’s Morning Joe, Dem Senator Chris Murphy [CT] described his plan, which Politico has called “stealthy single-payer.” Under it, people would be given the option of buying into Medicare or remaining with private insurance. Murphy expressed the belief that:

“Given that choice, consumers would choose Medicare, and it would allow for almost a more natural transitioning to a single-payer system.”

Deep down, a lot of Democrats AND Republicans have wanted Single-Payer all along, but just couldn’t say so.

There’s good reason to not want foreign nationals in the Presidency, and your falling for the “othering” and derision of people who want to follow the constitution and keep natural born citizens in that office is very telling.

Maybe, but I do find birther posts to be endlessly fascinating.

Do you honestly believe the rule of law means anything to these people? She’ll just say she identifies as a Natural Born Citizen and that will be good enough.

Unfortunately, the rule of law doesn’t mean anything to a majority of Americans.
Jindal, Cruz and Rubio ran last time and they are not eligible either.

I’m on a mission to rid the culture of the progressive phrase “single payer”. It sounds benign.

Steve Daines already introduced a “Medicare for all” bill back in July that did exactly what this bill does, and it got no votes. This one isn’t any different, so why is it getting support?

FR: Never Accept the Premise of Your Opponent’s Argument

As mentioned in related threads, although these politicians swear to protect and defend the Constitution, they’ve arguably never read it, particularly Congress's Article I, Section 8-limited powers, the specific power to regulate, tax and spend for INTRAstate healthcare purposes not listed among those powers.

What's going on imo is that corrupt career lawmakers exploit low-information voters, promising such voters federal social spending programs in exchange for electing them, the voters that they have fooled not understanding that the states have never expressly constitutionally delegated to the feds the specific powers to establish such programs.

Next, consider that although Trump is accomplishing a LOT as president, it remains that since the uniparty Congress wants to get rid of him that his first two years in office are arguably for practice. That being said ...

Drain the swamp sewer! Drain the sewer!

Remember in November 2018 !

Since corrupt Congress is the biggest part of the sewer (imo) that Trump wants to drain, it is actually up to us patriots to drain the sewer in the 2018 elections, patriots supporting Trump by electing as many new members of Congress as they can who will support Trump.

In the meanwhile, patriots need to make sure that there are plenty of Trump-supporting candidates on the primary ballots.

Patriots need to qualify candidates by asking them why the Founding States made the Constitution’s Section 8 of Article I; to limit (cripple) the federal government’s powers.

Patriots also need to make sure that candidates are knowledgeable of the Supreme Court's clarifications of the federal government’s limited powers listed above.

Also, unlike incumbent members of Congress who wrongly remained silent while misguided state officials abridged the constitutionally enumerated rights of citizens during the lawless Obama Administration, patriots need to make sure that candidates on the 2018 primary ballots commit to the following.

Candidates need to commit to making and enforcing 14th Amendment-related laws to prosecute misguided state officials who use state powers to abridge constitutionally enumerated protections, 1st Amendment-protected religious expression and free speech for example, such actions prohibited by Section 1 of the 14th Amendment.

”14th Amendment, Section 1: All persons born or naturalized in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States [emphasis added]; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.”

Anchor babies born here are citizens. If you are born in the usa you are a natural born citizen. There is no reference whatsoever to parentage.

“No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty-five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.”

For all I wish Kamala Harris was ineligible, she does not appear to be.

That is a misinterpretation.

There is a difference between citizen and natural born citizen.

One can only naturally be a citizen when one is born here of citizen parents and cannot be anything else.
