And in the end, the taxpayers will be paying for these disasters. Donations are helpful and feel good, but they ain’t gonna be over 100 billion.

Which is fine by me. I’m from NYC but Texas and Florida are part of my country and they vote conservative :) And I’m sure lots of them donated or chipped in somehow after 9/11.

Saw the start of this propaganda rally-tv went off as soon as Stevie Wonder finished his insult.

Donated to the Southern Baptists Relief, (Read about their efforts here on FR), and a local animal shelter in Texas providing care . I prefer my money to be put to good use actually helping people/animals.

Couldn't care less what the pampered, arrogant, self absorbed elitists have to say about anything.

They were forced to leave the memorial because the crowd was bordering on being violent. It was vicious, and they turned the memorial (it was a quasi-funeral service for Paul Wellstone) into a full-fledged political rally that was negative and it was mean-spirited, and they ended up losing seats in the 2002 midterms because of that.

That incident helped Coleman beat Mondale in that Senate race but the GOP gained US House seats because of favorable redistricting and Bush's popularity, still elevated a year after 9/11.
