But in the final analysis, we the collective citizens put them in power. You can hardly blame the illegals for that.
That’s why I say it’s important we recognize that WE the citizens are the ones most responsible for the immigration mess.
Taking it out on the illegals is completely missing the target and wasting our outrage. It’s a useless wild goose chase. Our anger should be directed against OUR politicians and bureaucrats that have been lying to us and working against the citizens interests for decades.
In other words, it’s time to man the pitchforks!!

We can never get a secure border. The Mexican border will always be porous.
Punish sanctuary citiesand employers big time. Jail for illegal entry. Tax remittances. And on and on.
The Dream stealers should be given grubstakes to go home and no perks if they stay. Deport parents. They are economic opportunists and usually haters and users of America. I know lots of “Mexicans” and 90% of them love Mexicof! Not the United States.

DACA is a direct path to amnesty just as gay civil unions were a direct path to gay marriage.
Many people who get poetic about poor illegal immigrants are happy to let poor American citizens die on the streets.

Well, I know we don’t want to see how sausage is made, so I understand there may be compromises ONCE THE WALL IS UP. But if it weren’t an issue getting our borders secure, here is what I would tell my President:
Dear President Trump,
No child should be literally punished for the acts of their parents. Yet every parent MUST know that his or her choices can harm his or her children, sometimes irreparably. If a single mom chooses to take street drugs and ends up losing custody of the child to the state, that harms her child. If daddy insists on robbing a liquor store, and ends up in jail, the kid has a horrible childhood. It is better for the child to have parents who CHOSE NOT TO BREAK THE LAW.
It is better to save our jobs and our university places for the children of parents who CHOSE TO LIVE LEGALLY in the USA. Who didn’t illegally enter and live among us as criminals.
I’m ok with some deal for the DACAs once the wall is up, though. Because that is politics. Wall first. But let’s not always seek to hurt good families and promote bad families. Priority for those who obey laws.

In the Arizona Nogales sector, a 70 mile strip of border alone, the Border Patrol apprehended over 500,000 illegals a year and the Border Patrol estimated the fought only 1 in 5 illegal aliens crossing the border. That gives 2 million entering the US in the Nogales sector alone for 15 + years,
Add the 30 million crossing the border in the Nogales sector alone to the 12 million already here before the year 2000 and you get over forty million illegals with no difficulty
From another perspective, the generally accepted number for the depopulation of Mexico as if 2012 due to illegal immigration to el Norte is 20 million
Add that to the 12 million and you get 32 million as of 2012, and that only accounts for Mexican illegals. In fact, after 2010 Mexico has run out of people to ship to America so most illegals have been non Mexicans from all over the world, especially South and Central America
From the US census , the American population as of 2006 was nominally 267 million people and by 2012 that number had grown to about 306 million
The US census bureau attributed the rapid rise to ‘immigration” because citizen population growth was close to flat for that period. Legal immigration in the time period was around 3 million so the added 36 million people were predominantly here due to illegal immigration
Add that number to the 12 million and you get 48 million
Bottom line is that the 11 million media number is BS propaganda and somewhere between 1 in 10 to 1 in 8 of the people currently residing within the US borders is an illegal alien
What about their parents and what about when they have kids. Are those kids citizens? This is a mess and its not ours.

The original source for the census numbers was a USA Today headline news story circa 2012 titled something like America's population crosses 300 million for first time
Many here will vigorously dispute any assertion that USA Today is a credible news source, but there you have it.
