Nikki Haley to North Korea: 'No problem' letting Mattis deal with you

U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley warned North Korea on Friday that she is more than willing to let Defense Secretary Jim Mattis deal with the nuclear threat from Pyongyang if sanctions do not work.

Haley said recent sanctions have “strangled” North Korea’s “economic situation,” calling the impact “dramatic.”

But she said there's only so much the U.N. Security Council can do “when you cut 90 percent of the trade and 30 percent of the oil.”

“So having said that, I have no problem kicking it to General Mattis because I think he has plenty of options,” Haley said at the White House briefing, where she and National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster previewed U.S. efforts at the U.N. General Assembly next week.

She had the guts to take down the Confederate flag. Kim has no idea who he is messing with.

What would a MOAB explosion do to the Pyongyang capitol and surrounding area?

Don’t know myself but I’d sure like to find out. Only issue is if we do that we’d also have to eliminate the front line with SK as much as possible. They’ll unleash everything they have. Then it will be the fault of POTUS for the killing of thousands of South Koreans.

Hate to say it but we would be better off with a rocket hitting our shores and killing Americans first, but at that point we’re way too late.

“She had the guts to take down the Confederate flag. Kim has no idea who he is messing with.”

That wasn’t guts, that was pandering to the SJW crowd. Haley is establishment & is untrustworthy.

you don’t need a reason to condemn anyone for being insufficiently pure. ever. just toss around a few half understood pejorative catch phrases, and poof — you’re the unassailable authority on everything.

I live in SC. she is and was respected. because of the flag, despite the flag, before the flag, and after the flag.

she backed the wrong guy in the primary, but trump can obviously look past that. inexplicably, his seal of approval isn’t good enough for some.

It's all talk. Not much more than that

North Korea by and large is immune to it

MOAB is a nice weapon to drop on an jet runway/airbase. Tough for jets to take off in a crater.

Pyonyang is a different story: there are foreign embassies that are the same as soil on those countries. Need precision bombs in the North Korean capital for that reason...

The North Korean dictator has a PALACE on an island. That would be a good place to drop a MOAB.

Picking former MARINE General Mattis is what I consider the best choice. I like Army Generals; I like Air Force Generals; and I like Navy Admirals. But in a pinch, I would like the US Marines to be around me.

North Korea better know that Mattis is one to be reckoned with. He is a Marine, but is considered quite the INTELLECTUAL.

When the North Koreans (in the Korean War) were almost pushed to the Chinese border, China sent an army to attack the UN forces across the Yalu River.

There was a Marine detachment surrounded by the Chinese. No problem -- they just fought their way out.

I think the US Army had something similar, but they did not break out.

A MOAB is not nuclear. It does have a devastating effect, but only on an area a few hundred yards in diameter ( less in an open area).

I would mess with Nikki - she pandered like crazy to the Left on the Confederate flag issue.

Jim Mattis is a wholly different matter. He will mess up anyone very badly at anytime, and do so with a smile on his face.

The MOAB is perfect for the Pig in the pit. Once he is out, North Korea has been liberated. North and South Korea might even unite.

Some people are all Confederate Flag, all the time. Doesn’t matter what you did or what you didn’t do...Confederate Flag, Confederate Flag, Confederate Flag!!!!

Their obsession with a failed traitorous rebellion from 150 years ago is quite confounding.

yeah, well, that would be sort of obvious, really.

she is ambassador to the toothless UN, and the he is secretary of defense for the most awesome military in the history of man.

it’s just not that much of a leap.
