NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – The president of Lipscomb University has issued an apology after a centerpiece in his home was deemed offensive by students.
According to a Facebook post, President Randy Lowry invited African-American students to his home for dinner to discuss their experience at the university.
In an email to the Lipscomb community, Lowry said several of the students shared their concern about “material used for centerpieces which contained stalks of cotton.”
“The content of the centerpieces was offensive, and I could have handled the situation with more sensitivity. I sincerely apologize for the discomfort, anger or disappointment we caused and solicit your forgiveness,” Lowry wrote in the email.
Lowry ended the email by saying he welcomes the opportunity to “continue this conversation.”
They need to watch The FREE State of Jones, based on a true story, Civil War, it gets very real, that the Dems were behind the KKK, Lynchings, and Jim Crowe laws. And 1 man’s determination that the Constitution be followed. Blacks had the right to vote before any of the modern stuff was put into effect. It is a eye opener.

These kids are not crazy and they are not “snowflakes.” They are calculating opportunists. The more absurd the complaint, the better. They are testing their power. President Randy Lowry and his kind created this monster and now it has turned on him. The revolution eats its children. During the next Obama type administration they will be in positions of leadership. They will eventually transform the U.S. into a nationwide Detroit.
Too bad nobody tried to establish a mixed-race free state in the heart of the Union slave states. Then, we wouldn't have to put up with so much fake virtue-signaling on the basis of historical illiteracy.

Like most males, the president probably never even noticed the centerpiece, and almost certainly didn't catalog the contents.

Were any of the offended wearing clothing made with cotton? These kids need extended Summer long tours to Sub-Saharan Africa perhaps living with the people so that they can get in touch with their roots.
My dad was picking cotton in the fields when he was 5 years old. As his son, I guess I should be all offended too. Oh, by the way, he was white.

They are doing it all themselves....dooming themselves to irrelevancy.

That will not be enough. Once you have lowered yourself, they will leap on you and beat you down until there is nothing left. Doesn’t matter that your whole adult life has been one of deferring to victim groups, and giving them special treatment.

Unbelievable how he groveled at these few students' reaction to something in his home as unassuming as some cotton sprigs in a centerpiece on a table.
Thank heavens they didn't notice the toe-kicks under the kitchen cabinets, which are routinely painted BLACK.
Double face palm time. Simply amazing that this is what passes for the president of universities nowadays?
