OK.

Funny, though that WU doesn’t show it ever having been a 5.

I wholeheartedly agree! It was a real pleasure to read that statement. It speaks of true teamwork and respect.

What a season. Lee may perk up. And then there’s Nate. Oy.

The U.S. Air Force could fly bucket trucks down there on transport planes I would think?

Was this in the Times also? This happens all the time on Facebook, because there are no rules about what visual you post with the story. The text is not a caption to the photo. Leads to a lot of confusion re dates, content, facts . . .

It’s disturbing when the same thing happens in the traditional media. My conspiracy-oriented mind is racing.

We need to take advantage of the opportunity to shore up Puerto Rico’s infrastructure rather than just trying to apply a Band-Aid.

.....”We need to take advantage of the opportunity to shore up Puerto Rico’s infrastructure rather than just trying to apply a Band-Aid”.....

Gonna cost more than a bundle to do that ya know.....and a whole lotta of time. They can’t afford anything on their own now they’re in bankruptcy.

I know, but unless we want an additional 3 million Puerto Ricans to move to the Continental US, and have nobody left on the island, you have to make the island livable, and provide economic opportunity for them.

Hurricanes, tornadoes, etc. will always bring destruction with them and why they're called natural ‘disasters’.....though the path and the degree of these monsters may vary as well as their size.....the end result is still 'destruction'.....which is bad no matter the degree of it...it's all bad for those who have to rebuild.. Some nations or areas peoples are quick to pitch in and rebuild their areas....others not so much. We saw this in Haiti as well as in Lousianna. Hopefully ALL would pitch in.....as too their government and do the right thing.

That’s going to happen anyway because already after Irma many left the mess for others to clean up...same as happened in Lousianna who went to Texas and other states.....

The Island needed help even before Irma.....it was bankrupt.....so now what? Just build a new Island community?...and where are all these funds going to come from exactly? Puerto Rico can’t supply them at all....I’m just asking?

I agree, but fail to see what that has to do with my point, which was faithfulness to the reader in showing what you’re supposed to show. Don’t show a different map or a different island. The New York Times isn’t Facebook.

I don’t recall which publication—doubt NYT. There is a link to it way back in this thread.
