While the talking point is that this is the “most active” season, Rita shot up between Texas and Louisiana roughly this week the same year Katrina hit New Orleans around Labor Day.

And Hurricane Ike was Cat 4 (I’ve been hearing it repeated that Harvey was the first big storm in a decade)

I was listening to the Meterologist on Fox who had projected we would have these....he said we aren’t over the season til even the end of November.....that Sandy and Wilma hit the end of October...so there could be more yet to come.
