The effects of an H-bomb in the Pacific Ocean are much more benign than when Korea or Iran explode an H-bomb in Los Angeles harbor.

You live where?

My LA relatives are still in much denial. The probability is high that in your lifetime that a few angery nuclear bombs will explode somewhere. It is inevitable. Democrats are corrupt traitors.

What will you do?

As soon as we hear a countdown start, we obliterat all civilization within the borders of North Korea. When the trigger is pulled we dont stop firing until the enemy concedes the fight. No more 38th parallel. No more North Korea.

Islam is next.

I’m no nuclear physicist but it seems like there would be a whole lot of radioactive nucleotides with varying half lives disseminated into the upper atmosphere and the oceanic ecosystem. It seems as if those nucleotides would then spread out to other ecosystems through the food chain and various cyclical ecological systems and would ultimately find their way into human tissues. You can’t detonate a nuclear weapon above ground without creating large amounts of nuclear fallout. You don’t need to be a nuclear physicist to know this.

The United States and France both routinely nuked the Pacific with hydrogen bombs back in the ‘50’s and early ‘60’s.

Maybe this atmospheric testing is partly responsible for the queering of the West?

If detonated IN the ocean, it could possibly cause a tsunami, could it not?

What might be the effects of an H-Bomb dropped over the Pacific?

Good question. Indonesia, Philippines and Cuba are all places that still practice ‘dynamite fishing’…. a devastating practice that essentially kills a wide swath of sea life. I can’t imagine how far reaching the impact of an H bomb in the ocean would be. Water is an excellent conductor of shock waves so the impact of an underwater explosion would go very far.

The amount of sea life that is already washing up on shore is unbelievable…. http://www.end-times-prophecy.org/animal-deaths-birds-fish-end-times.html The Bible does foretell that the ‘end times’ would involve devastation of the oceans. I’ll leave it to others to make that call as to whether they want to believe what the Bible says and/or the connection to an H bomb.

Revelation 8:8 and 9 “And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood; And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed.” Hosea 4:3 “Therefore shall the land mourn, and every one that dwelleth therein shall languish, with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven; yea, the fishes of the sea also shall be taken away.”

There is certainly contamination from an atmospheric detonation. We popped off quite a few of them, some very large, in the Pacific during the 1950's and early 1960's. The French were conducting atmospheric tests in the Pacific until the mid-1970's. It's not like this hasn't been done before.

Heavy fallout results from a detonation at or near ground level. The explosion sucks up a bunch of dirt, irradiates it, and blows it into the sky. A detonation at higher altitudes may produce an EMP, but won't produce much fallout.

You do understand that there have been numerous H-bombs exploded in the Pacific during the Cold War, right?

We tested 105 nuclear weapons in the Pacific. We’re still here.

Sure... but how many since 1963? And how many of the size that rocket boy is suggesting?

This is pure conjecture.

But it may be that Trump is trying to push Little Fat Boy to do something SO stupid, that even his generals can’t support it, because they know they will lose everything.

At that point, Kim becomes pink mist.

Just maybe ...

The top-end estimate of the yield of Fat Boy's latest nuke is 250 kilotons.

The biggest bomb the US ever set off was the Castle Bravo shot in 1954, 15 megatons -- 60 times bigger than Lil Kim's bomb. We set off a bunch in the 2 to 10 megaton range.

“This message was sponsored by the America Israel Public Affairs Committee, the Israel Lobby”

We need to deal with one enemy at a time and I don’t see Iran’s leaders threatening to level the USA, call me back when they do.

Israel sees Iran at its primary enemy and wants to link Iran to North Korea but Iran does not even have nukes yet, although it has great missile capabilities.

Israel has my support to do what it want to do with Iran, but don’t drag the USA into it. Carry you own weight as an independent and sovereign nation.

Which one do you hit?

All of them. And you do it while they're still few enough in number that you can hit all of them.

Kim sounds like a guy who needs some kind of rocket explosion for his own gratification. Kind of like Jack the Ripper with a bomb instead of knife.

I will. The North Korean children are innocent victims. They have been imprisoned and brainwashed since Day One of their miserable little lives and they will continue to be imprisoned and brainwashed for the remainder of them. None of what is happening is their fault, and they are powerless to affect the outcome.

That said, we will still need to do what we need to do, undeterred by the awful knowledge of the horrific cost. I fear that war is inevitable, and if I have to choose between losing millions of North Korean children and losing millions of American children, I’ll take the side of losing the North Korean children. But I will surely grieve for them.
