A hot-headed teen got a slap on the wrist Friday for slugging a Manhattan principal who told him to turn down his music. Judge Edwina Richardson-Mendelson granted Luis Penzo, 19, youthful offender status and sentenced him to a conditional discharge — as long as he stays out of trouble for three years he’ll dodge prison and a criminal record. “You made us very proud,” the judge said of the surly teen’s compliance with a family therapy program. Penzo, who sauntered into Manhattan Supreme Court Friday wearing a white T-shirt and red gym shorts, offered no apology.

I had a buddy that was a few years older than me. We went to college together He was a black attorney that became a Judge. His father was the first black attorney appointed to the bench in our state. He served in the Army National Guard, He has hospital wings named after him. He was a Judge for the last 25 years of his life.
This woman, is not worthy of her office.

Judge Edwina Richardson-Mendelson is a pathetic excuse for a judge as well as a human being. She needs to be thrown out of office, indicted for malfeasance, tried, convicted and sentence to a prison term.

How is that principal supposed to maintain discipline and protect the rights of other students to learn when he has to fear being put in the hospital for asking a student to turn down the music? Then to have the judge blow kisses at the thug who assaulted him. We are proud of you????
