I’m convinced the ONLY reason McTurd is doing this is to screw Trump.

I never understood the guy’s popularity in the first place. His record from Vietnam has some very troubling aspects. He was a thief in the mid-eighties, anyone here old enough to remember the Keating five and the S & L scandal. If I recall correctly he had his oar in the water with the Democrats then also. His disdain of G W was an embarrassment to the entire party, his campaign a farce. The party should have just admitted that he couldn’t win a cuppa doll at the balloon pop and saved their money. McCain? Not impressed then or now.

John McCain is not seeing it that way. There are lots of people in the republican party that do not want this bill. But they want to vote for it so they can appear to be doing something. Many republicans, especially the older ones ran on repeal and replace. But that does not mean they meant it.

So the idea here is that as many republicans can vote for the bill while as few as possible safe old republicans can kill it. They want to kill it for several reasons. One is that the bill is not really good. Its Obamacare light. Second is that they will own healthcare if they do kill it and replace it. So they would have a hard time complaining about it in the next campaign.

Politicians in the US have learned that complaining about something conservatives hate, but never fixing it, keeps you employed. Thats why the republican house can pass a replacement healthcare bill seven times in the past 7 years. They know it will never be signed.

Now lets not throw all republicans into this barrel. Some republicans really want Obamacare gone. They are normally young. And they care about their campaign promises. But then there are the old goats who know how the game is played. The party has both. And to solve the problem you need to primary the old goats. The more pure the party is, the more likely we are to getting what we really want done.

Fortunately there are some issues that all republicans can agree on like SCOTUS. And there are some issues we kind of agree on. We agree to a strong military. But McCain and Graham say that, but what they really mean is that they are for strong profits for military vendors. There is not a military expenditure that those two don’t like. Even if the military doesn’t want to spend their money like that. Others are for big business in general. And still others are for “infrastructure” which means construction companies.

Thats why our debt never seems to decrease even under republican rule. The republican party leaders have promised their donors that they will spend it. Our hope is Trump. Not because he is perfect. But because he does not need donors. Trump can support the real republicans. And if others can do what Trump did, the donor class may lose control to the opposite group, the populous class. And that is the secret. The opposite of big money donors is populism. In other words, if the people aren’t getting what they voted for, its because the money is getting what it wants.

Don’t know if this has been asked before or not, but if McCain becomes incapacitated or dies from his brain cancer, can conservatives rely on the AZ Governor to appoint a US Senator that will work with the President on reforming healthcare?

McCain is simply flicking the finger at all of those republicans who rejected all of his bids for the presidency. He thinks he’s getting the last laugh.

He doesn’t have much to lose from now on, so, he’s getting even.

Why doesn’t Johnny make this bipartisan stance with a Democrat bill? Instead he chooses a Republican bill to his crap. He is a traitor. The Arlen specter of now.

McCain does not care. He will never have to face re-election and his attitude reflects that reality.
