How does this happen?

Many/most times, citizens vote to approve stadium funding because they get frightened into thinking their city will be second-rate without a sports team(s).

Now that’s funny, because if you look at the cities with NFL teams, they are already second-rate with or without the NFL.

And there’s never any proof that these cities who have subsidize the stadiums have any kind of improvement with tourism or anything, it’s just ridiculous that they would do this.
