in this safe space of an hour. Instead, her show will encourage viewers to escape from the awful world, "to laugh with us" (not one genuinely funny thing happened in this first episode), to which Kelly added her wish that viewers will enjoy "a smile, sometimes a tear, and maybe some hope to start your day."

A "safe space" to "escape from the awful world"? Enjoy a smile, a tear and hope? This show sounds like ... I'll put it politely ... garbage.

My sister never reads/listens to the news, because she is apparently allergic to the "awful world." And she votes.

I prefer to know what is actually going on. Yes, there are terrible things happening in the world, but ignoring it doesn't make it go away.

We have a television in our local YMCA's women's locker room.

I always put Fox News on, much to the chagrin of most women here in The People's Republik of Connecticut.

One one particular day, there was much reaction on FNC to one of the many recent Islamo-Nazi terrorist attacks somewhere in the world.

A woman came into the room and actually said: "Ugh. "They should only be allowed to broadcast GOOD news on these networks!"

Appalling, huh? She probably votes, too.
