Absolutely - My dad grew up picking tobacco by hand. I have even picked a few leafs myself
I’m with you there.
That’s right, we just learned last week that cotton plants are racist LMAO!!!
When I was a little bitty baby
My mama done rock me in the cradle
In them old cotton fields back home
It was back in Louisiana
Just about a mile from Texarkana
In them old cotton fields back home
Let me tell you now well got me in a fix
I caught a nail in my tire doing lickitey splits
I had to walk a long long way to town
Came along a nice old man well he had a hat on
Wait a minute mister can you give me some directions
I gonna want to be right off for home
When I was a little bitty baby
My mama done rock me in the cradle
In them old cotton fields back home
It was back in Louisiana
Just about a mile from Texarkana
In them old cotton fields back home
Don’t care if them cotton balls get rotten
When I got you baby, who needs cotton
In them old cotton fields back home
Brother only one thing more that’s gonna warm you
A summer’s day out in California
It’s gonna be those cotton fields back home
It was back in Louisiana
Just about a mile from Texarkana
Give me them cotton fields
(it was back in Louisiana)
Let me hear it for the cotton fields
(just about a mile from Texarkana)
You know that there’s just no place like home
Well boy it sure feels good to breathe the air back home
You shoulda seen their faces when they seen how I grown
In them old cotton fields back home
You bet it is!
I think this goes way beyond this.
Watched a YouTube series a few years ago on how Hitler convinced the German people and the Jews to vote for him. His propaganda made them feel like victims cuz of the Treaty of Versailles. When that wore off, he went after Jews. He convinced the people that they were victims of the Jewish people,
It is about how power over the of the middle class is gained for the progressives.
They have been doing this for over 100 years. It's alive and well today.
You guys may think I'm a lunatic, but this the beginning for there first moves to destroy our Constitution. Read too much history to believe otherwise.
I think that one's gonna catch on, FRiend! LOL! :)
The sharecroppers never really got out of their “contracts”, did they?
What a difficult life for all...black and white.
Thank goodness for modern machinery.
“Imagine a world without cotton”
As a quilter, I cannot possibly imagine that!!
If I remember correctly, at one time there were more white sharecroppers than black. — like my ex-husband’s father’s family who were sharecroppers
You never hear about the poor white experience.
Wonder why?
The Cowboys thought they had figured out how to straddle that fence, keep everyone happy. No clue how angry people really are they walked right into the fire. Even though they stood for the anthem, their kneeling was seen as being in support of those that were disrespecting our country. I cannot believe when they came up with this plan that reaction wasn’t expected.
Because it’s not PC. White supremacists never picked cotton.

You are right, the left has the brown shirts, the Hitler youths, reeducation, shouting down decent, the propaganda machine, and they point to groups as the cause of their woes and call for economic and social destruction of any group they dislike.
The only thing the right has is Trump. The leftists don’t have their barn raising speaker yet. The best they have is Bernie. But if they had one, we would all be in a lot of trouble.
I think you nailed it. I think the closest they had was Bammy.
Get a forceful Bill Clinton in there and we are hosed. I think it’s only a matter of time since the Progressive own education/ indoctrination today.
Hope I’m old enough to miss it.
Yes machinery has made our lives more productive and easier.
But we can go to far and that can be a disaster. Machines that do all but wipe your butt. Leave sheeple.
