agree—McConnell would have owned Strange and McConnell would love nothing more than to destroy Trump. I look for McConnell’s cronies to support the democrat (not openly of course) or if possible, to support Strange as a 3rd party candidate to split the republican vote in the general

No, Nick, that won’t happen. The reason is that Cochran won at this point—Big Luther didn’t.
So all they can do is promote the democrat, which isn’t going to get ANY traction. Alabama is twice as conservative and Republican as Mississippi.
People here just don’t like Strange for the Governor Bentley deal, and won’t ever vote for him. He’s done, toast, finished.
