ick Pitino found the scandal he couldn’t survive.

The Louisville coach, as well as athletic director Tom Jurich, was canned on Wednesday, according to multiple reports, one day after the corruption scandal that rocked the NCAA focused intently on Louisville.

Pitino and Jurich met with Louisville officials Wednesday. According to WAVE-TV, Jurich was asked to fire Pitino and when he refused was fired himself. A news conference is scheduled for later Wednesday.

The FBI investigated corruption and bribery in college sports, arresting assistants from four programs. Louisville was spotlighted by the investigation, which found a Cardinals recruit was funneled $100,000 through Adidas to get him to commit to Louisville.

This is the scandal Pitino could not weather, after he kept the job following the NCAA proving a Louisville assistant hired escorts to strip and have sex with recruits. He also was involved in a sex scandal, when a woman with whom he was having an affair tried to blackmail him.

I’m sure they were shocked, shocked I tell you, that there was corruption in their basketball program recruiting.

We all know the universities have no problem with corruption. The only problem is getting caught.

I believe it was University of Southern California and not University of South Carolina assistant coach caught up in this...

I believe it was both. The current Oklahoma State assistant coach, Lamont Evans, was indicted for actions taken at both OSU and at South Carolina. Coach Bland of Southern Cal was also indicted.

"He should be part of the Louisville basketball team and lose his Twitter account ... " - Rick Pitino

No, you just lost your job and should be in jail. Hahahaha.

Is Rick Pitino still banging waitresses under the tables at restaurants?

Goodell needs to pay attention (even though it is a different sport and college and not pro).

Let’s practice it so we get it right:

You are fired!

The Louisville coach, as well as athletic director Tom Jurich... met with Louisville officials Wednesday... Jurich was asked to fire Pitino and when he refused was fired himself... The FBI... found a Cardinals recruit was funneled $100,000 through Adidas to get him to commit to Louisville. [and what happened to the money? the student athlete?] ...Pitino... kept the job following the NCAA proving a Louisville assistant hired escorts to strip and have sex with recruits. He also was involved in a sex scandal, when a woman with whom he was having an affair tried to blackmail him.
He also was caught using expired coupons at the grocery store (the cashier looked the other way), parked in handicapped spots, and mocked kids who showed up to trick-or-treat. ;^)

While I wonder if the FBI's resources could be better spent on, oh, rounding up criminal illegals, especially after the monstrous eight years of Soetero and his brackets, this coach, uh, doesn't set a good example. I mean, a good example like professional athletes are expected to do, when they're not conducting racist demonstrations or carrying out drive-bys. Thanks conservative98.

Imo, the first stage of the offensive needs to be the destruction of the Deep State. Unfortunately, the FBI *is* the enforcing arm *for* the Deep State.

Re: This particular coach and athletic director...

The rot of cultural depravity is so ubiquitous now that anyone tasked with finding that One Good Man in any position of social or political power would have a hard, long and pointless row to hoe.

It’d be easier to find a real, live rainbow farting unicorn.

I expect there will be celebrating here in Lexington. Pitino used to be our coach before he moved to Louisville, and during that time he was good enough to lead UK to a championship. Thus, we didn’t want to see him go. That’s one of the reasons for the big rivalry between UK and UL.

Alex Jones tells us the NFL sold out to the globalist due to the concussion stuff, not to excuse them here but instead to point out that potentially sinister stuff is going on. Pitino stuff breaks less than two days after NFL trashes National Anthem and flag. This could be the FBI, Mueller, and the globalist going after college football and basketball and getting them to follow the NFL lead.
