I once left a blank on a school registration form. A few months later, my son’s teacher emailed me that my son was listed as African American on the pre-filled out form for a state test. We had wondered why son kept receiving invitations to groups promoting college to minorities. Anywho, the computer defaulted to Aftican American when no race was chosen on the initial registration form. It took two years to fix. And the state law said you can only change your race ONCE. Lol
