The owners violated both precepts. I do not believe there are any owners who hate the US, its flag or the anthem. I think putting their heads in the sand and not taking a definitive stand on this issue, a stand that was consistent with all prior actions regarding player demonstrations for individual causes, has killed their golden goose.
