A growing population of sports fans is prepared to shun the National Football League following controversy over athletes who chose not to stand during the national anthem. The movement is escalating. Such hashtags as #BoycottNFL have emerged on Twitter, while Boycott the NFL, a new Facebook site, has already accrued close to 75,000 followers who vow to turn off the games on Veterans Day next month.
News organizations in both Chicago and Boston report that local bars and VFW posts will no longer show NFL games on their premises. Bill DeFries a military vet and restaurant owner in Beavercreek, Ohio says he got overwhelming support from customers after imposing his own NFL ban. Then there is Schilling Distributing Company, a veteran-owned Louisiana beer distributor that is pulling all Bud Light products that use the NFL as a point of sale from their sales list.
There is no need for us to ask our retailer partners to promote such controversial organizations to help sell product, Vice President Charles Buddy Schilling noted in a statement.

I was boycotting last year when all this started.
Glad to see someone noticed.
Why is everybody else so far behind FR? :)
I had people busting my ####s all last year to stop watching.
Finally did this year and they were right to bust my ####s :)
Nice to read this.
Talcum X is trying to say that the empty stands are the result of a boycott he called for last year.
(White guy pretending to be black Shaun King.)
I started boycotting 25 years ago when they started dancing in the end zone.
The boycott is already here, and it’s not just for Veteran’s Day. It’s permanent.
Too little, too late
No Fans League, but don't lose hope -
Walmart is hiring !
I hope people who have season tickets or have purchased tickets for single games don’t show up. A near empty stadium would send a powerful message to the NFL.
I also read where Hardwick Clothing Company was the first to pull ads on NFL games...Maybe we should not only boycott sponsors but reward those who pull their advertising to support America!
Check out their website at hardwickclothingcompany.com
Today, I went on a lovely motorcycle ride through semi-rural southeastern Massachusetts (almost to Cape Cod) and stopped in a diner for supper.
On display for sale were several racks of delightfully painted wine bottles with various decorations on them.
The top shelf was reserved for “The Big Four”, Boston’s Beloved Sports teams.
There was a Red Sox Bottle, A Celtics Bottle, a Bruins bottle...but wait...in the space that should have been occupied by a New England patriots Bottle, there was a Chianti Bottle with grapes painted on it.
Hmmmm. Verrrrry Interrrresting!
The top stars may not need to work at Wal-Mart. They can get jobs as greeters at the Las Vegas Casinos.
These leftist American hating celebrities deserve everything they get.
“The top stars may not need to work at Wal-Mart. They can get jobs as greeters at the Las Vegas Casinos.”
Or bouncers at the local Hooter’s. ;-)
Veteran’s Day?
PERMANENT here!
Frankly, my friend's definition of integrity is probably limited in this case to "opposing Trump." It's possible to oppose the President with integrity--but McCain fails to qualify because he is braking campaign promises to do it. I digress.
Anyhow, I just replied that the players doe have the right to protest--and fans have the right to look elsewhere for amusement. I had to restrain myself from asking him how he would feel if the players were protesting same-sex marriage (my friend is not gay, but he is, as I said, a hopeless Libtard).
I started last year, and yeah, I did tell you so.
They probably were hoping Kaepernick’s outcome would take care of itself. I am glad POTUS lanced this poisonous leftist boil!
No one has a right to protest during the national anthem!
