Florida Sheriff’s Office Will not Escort Miami Dolphins Until They Stand for National Anthem

The Miami Dolphins are also part of the unpatriotic movement started by Colin Kaepernick that involves refusing to stand at attention for the national anthem. However, they are all starting to feel the consequences of their actions, with the Florida sheriffs office announcing that they will not be escorting the Dolphins to their games unless they stop with the disrespectful behavior. The local Miami police union supported the decision of the Broward County Sheriff’s Office and will not be doing any escorting either, reports The Sports Hall.

President of the International Union of Police Associations, Jeffrey Bell said, “I respect their right to have freedom of speech. However, in certain organizations and certain jobs you give up that right of your freedom of speech temporary while you serve that job or while you play in an NFL game.”

After four of their players protested the national anthem, the Dolphins organization released a statement in which they mentioned that while they encourage all players to stand it is not mandatory and is personal choice:

“We encourage all members of our organization to stand at attention during the national anthem out of respect and appreciation for the freedoms we are afforded as Americans. We also recognize that it’s an individual’s right to reflect during the anthem in different ways. We respect these liberties and appreciate the sacrifices that everyone has made for our country, especially on this day of remembrance. We hope today’s events will continue a respectful and thoughtful dialogue in our community on unity, inclusiveness and togetherness.”

The police association is well within their rights, and yet the liberals criticize their decision while at the same time they are praising the athletes for exercising their freedom of speech. If they advocate for freedom of speech and freedom of expression, that freedom has to extend to everyone.

The reality is, other than these athletes getting their fifteen minutes of fame, nothing productive is coming of their protests.

"all players must be on the sideline for the National Anthem"

Which makes the Steelers actions punishable. without any squishy words.

Amen!

Let the spoiled millionaires pay for their own security and security escorts. There’s no reason for the police to provide security to a private function and every reason not to provide it to BLM supporters who want them dead.

More important are our National Codes/laws which tell us exactly how to behave when our National Anthem is played/sung.

If the NFL thugs and owners don’t like our National Codes/laws re respect to our flag and national anthem. They should get them changed, like those, who don’t like our immigration laws should do instead of breaking the laws.

Yes there are laws/rules re how to behave when our National Anthem is being played.

We encourage all members of our organization to stand at attention during the national anthem....

And if you don't you will sit on the bench for the entire game and forfeit pay for that game.

How about that?

When these player idiots start acknowledging the elephant in the room (blacks killing other blacks by the bushel) maybe they will gain some legitimacy.

There should be a class action against the NFL for violating their own rules, written code of conduct that the fans count on when attending or watching an NFL game.
The NFL is cheating the fans of the experience they paid for in attending or watching games. I bet if they has 50 million plaintiff’s in this class action lawsuit they might break the NFL.

Where are the good Class Action attorneys.
Where are the ANTI-TRUST attorneys?

But what would the reaction be from those of us who condemn the players?

What if pro life people said “We refuse to stand for the National Anthem of a country that slaughters innocent babies”? I’d join that protest.

Great idea! Everyone wear “Tebow” shirts and kneel and pray for the unborn and for the safety of the players. In my day every high school football game started with a prayer including asking God to protect the players.

Cypress High School here in Houston has announced the Anthem will no longer be played at football games “to avoid controversy”. All part of the “new world order” and one world government, I guess. Has anyone heard if the Bushes support the players. Silence is the cowardly way to show support.

“Stand at attention” means no arm-locking, no mixed motives. Eyes on the flag.

Good. I was hoping stuff like this would start happening. Especially with the police. The anthem protests are just a veneer of the BLM movement that openly encourages cop killing. Every police department should follow suit.

I haven’t watched the NFL this year, but if there are any vestiges of military presence at any of these games—flag ceremony, expensive jet flyovers, etc.—I’d pull all of those as well if I was the President, who has the direct authority to do so.

Isolate these assholes from all the taxpayer-funded special benefits they get like police protection.

Oh but there is! People are shutting off their TV's, burning their tickets, burning their team gear, cancelling flights to games, not going to games, etc! Oh, yeah! There's a lot of productivity!

If you’re a Coach or Owner with Socialist and Anti-American leanings, you can disregard the handbook.

If you’re a Coach or Owner with Conservative and Pro-American leanings, you will be beaten about the head with said handbook until you come around to Socialist and Anti-American leanings.

It’s pretty simple and it applies to ANY perceived injustice that the Socialists want highlighted on any given day.

*SPIT*

Sorry, but I find you to be on the wrong side of this issue! Yes, the Dolphins are private citizens, and as such, don't require "escorts" to get from point A to point B. They've committed not crime, so how does the 14th come into play? "The 14th amendment limits the action of state and local officials." They're (Sheriff's Office) limiting their actions!

Would you require the Sheriff's office personnel to escort you to and from the grocery store! And, every other citizen?
