If Trump had no empathy, he would not have been able to connect with so many people on WWF, or his political campaign, , nor understand where the other side was coming from in business negotiations. Nor relate to Howard Stern's level of banal comedy. Trump relates to a lot of people at a lot of levels...having far more empathy than his opponent in the last election.
I suspect it is lack of instinctively embracing gun-control when faced with a tragedy that the author is selling as a lack of empathy....presumably the author would spontaneously conclude Trump had found this virtue if only he would agree with the agenda. Just as those who disagree with Leftists always do so because they lack virtue....which Leftists are of course free to think, since they really don't believe in objective standards of virtues thus define it themselves.
>>one should listen to a recently recovered tape of Trump, speaking to Howard Stern, in which he is actually boasting of his indifference to a man he thought was dying
I’ve head total indifference from Marky Ramone engaged in an interview/argument with Joey Ramone on Howard Stern’s show (while Joey was dying of cancer). And Howard loved it.

As somebody posted on another thread, respond to the gun control nuts that it’s a good thing he used an automatic weapon rather than a semi because a lot more people might have been hurt and killed.
