In case you missed Rush today, he cited some stats that will become even MORE important as the left & Democrats (but I repeat myself!) callously EXPLOIT the Las Vegas tragedy to advance one of their top two agenda items: TO DISARM DECENT, LAW-ABIDING CITIZENS!
The anti-gun measures now on the books in liberal controlled cities like Chicago, New York, LA, etc. have done NOTHING to keep criminals from getting all the firearms THEY want and they have the homicide rates to prove it.

What you need to know is that during those years, PRIVATE GUN OWNERSHIP HAS MARKEDLY INCREASED. The number USED to be around 270 million private firearms. Gun sales have surged since until now, mid-2017, we own an estimated 400 MILLION guns.
Those statistics prove the case Professor John Lott made years ago in his study and book “More Guns, Less Crime.”

Back in the early 80s, I attended a speech by the late Arkady Shevchenko, then the highest-ranking Soviet official to defect to the West. He had been their top guy at the UN.
He spoke, interestingly, at KENNESAW COLLEGE — and we all know what Kennesaw is famous for! I’m proud to have played a small role in helping Mayor Darvin Purdy get that legislation through the Kennesaw City Council.
Shevchenko’s talk dealt with the clear intent of the leadership of the old Soviet Union (12/5/2015 UPDATE: ADD THE CURRENT LEFTIST CONTROLLED FEDERAL GOVERNMENT TO THAT LIST!) to somehow take America. He mentioned their ICBMs and the nuclear blackmail threat they posed. (12/5/2015 UPDATE: MAKE THAT THE MUSLIMS!)
Then he broke from his prepared remarks and offered the audience this wisdom:
“The leaders of my country are as AFRAID OF YOUR 200 MILLION (12/5/2015 UPDATE: MAKE THAT 380 MILLION AND COUNTING!) PRIVATE FIREARMS as they are of your ICBMs. NEVER GIVE UP YOUR GUNS.”
Frankly — and, while he had to be careful as he was under FBI protection at the time, Shevchenko alluded to this in his remarks — I’m as concerned about some domestic tyrant (say, a Hillary, Nancy Pelosi, Barack HUSSEIN Obama or Chuck Schumer) as I am about some foreign enemy.
And it is THAT threat about which the Founding Fathers were concerned that prompted them to leave us the Second Amendment.

The only effective gun control would be confiscating all weapons with astronomical fines and jail time for holding out. Even then, the government would have to search our homes. Still protected group thugs would keep their weapons and hide behind “racist” accusations. That’s not America but we’re losing all our other rights as well.

Have you noticed how quickly the left rushes to push to ban guns when there is a shooting, but they never mention banning muslims when there is a terrorist attack?
We have a little mining town in the mountains in our county that has been taken over by liberals and they out vote the rest of the county. All the rest of the county is conservative.
Now that copper prices are up and the mine is booming again with many new hires moving in I am hoping they will outnumber the crazy liberals or at least be able to match them. The mines around here are non-union so mostly conservatives that understand liberals like to see them out of work.
Oh I saw more than that posted on social media it was fine for Trump supporters to die.
They all said country music fans are “mostly’ republican so I guess they want us dead so bad they are not even concerned about collateral damage.
That would start a Civil War if the lead up to that had not already got one going.
The liberals have made the mistake of showing us their real selves; the absolute hatred they have for this country, and for us. No way is anyone in their right mind going to hand over their firearms to them. Not going to happen. Everyone knows by now what their next step would be, it is not really the firearms they hate, it is us.
Like some many of their crusades, there is a lot of emotion and not much rational thought.
